Well what a night!
Terrific WINS for both Valrouz in Race 1 and Alrouz in Race 8 at Moonee Valley Night Racing.
Race 1 Valrouz with Michael Rodd on board stormed home to win the Christmas at The Valley Plate over 1200m. The mare never really looked challenged as Rodd took her to the front and stayed there! Congratulations to Team Harrison and Valrouz owners on a well deserved win.
Race 8 Alrouz with Dwyane Dunn onboard fought back after the turn to give Team Harrsion the second win of the night. Dunn’s ride was superb for Alrouz who relaxed 3 back before Dunn asked him for more after the turn. Alrouz came home for a convincing win. Great win after a solid run at Flemington.

Doug is off to New Zealand tomorrow to cast his eye over the ready to run sale of 2 year olds. Analysis has started of the 407 lots and there are some lovely 2 year olds showing pace and ability. Falcent is a recent winner purchased from last years New Zealand ready to run sale. A rather exciting wait to see what Doug brings back!
