It may have been hot out at Stony Creek races today but Rule The Way was sizzling with his emphatic win in the 1600m Maiden Plate.
A wide barrier did not deter the Hemingway gelding as Wayne Davis positioned him at the front not long after jumping away. Wayne dictated the pace and had Rule The Way settling nicely throughout the race. A final surge home saw the gelding win by 3 and a half lengths.
