Lopartega put on a dominant display winning by 4 lengths in the Ladbrokes Odds Boost Extra Handicap over 1600m at Sandown.  The Lope De Vega mare apprectiated the step up to 1600m after an encouraging finish in her first up run over 1400m.

“The way she just went away from them, that’s what I wanted to see today” Trainer Doug Harrison said in the post race interview.

“I’ve always had hopes of taking her back over to Adelaide for the carnival.”  Doug Harrison has the Group Two Queen Of The South Stakes over the same distance (1600m) as a likely target for Lopartega in South Australia.

A well timed ride from top jockey Craig Williams saw Lopartgea win easily for connections and the Doug Harrison Racing Team.

Congratulations.

Search Squad also continued his consistent come back to put in another solid run, to finish second in the last race of the day.  After over coming interference mid race and taken out wide, the Falkirk gelding flashed home to grab second by half a length.  We feel a win is knocking on the door soon to reward his patient owners.
