Alrouz and Valrouz are smiling in their stalls tonight after both winning their respective races this week.
The homebred duo from the Doug Harrison Racing broodmare that produces city winners Fayrouz were back in the winners stall.
Valrouz scored her first up win at Sale after a spell. Valrouz is one tough racehorse with a will to run after numerous set backs in her career that would've put paid to lesser horses. Patrick Keane rode a text book race on the mare and she proved too strong.
Alrouz added to his silverware taking home the St Pats Cup at Geelong. While it might have been Super Saturday at Flemington, Alrouz was making it a super Saturday at Geelong for connections. A gutsy staying effort saw him stick on for the win in a photo finish. Patrick Keane again the master in the saddle.
