The ever consistent Search Squad was a genuine winner today at Sandown. Going one better than his recent three seconds, the Falkirk gelding relished the heavy conditions to win by a length. Jake Bayliss rode the 6 year old and must be commended on holding the tricky to ride Search Squad mid race, so he could unleash his turn of foot down the straight. Congratulations to the patient owners of Search Squad. Plagued with feet issues, he spent the best part of 8 months in the paddock to get his feet right. No hoof, no horse. Search Squad has duly rewarded his owners of late and today was just fantastic for the team and our farrier Luke Roberts.
