New Racing Season has started very wet,
The Days will start to get longer and dryer, the horses will start shedding that winter coat and spring is around the corner with all new hopes and dreams
Last season was an improvement on the previous year with stable having
12.4% strike rate with 30 winners, 25 seconds, 20 thirds and 20 fourths from our small team.
This season we are looking forward to the 3 year olds stepping Up Nicskioffski, Anniversary Belle, Barista Miss, Onedayinseptember & Falcent.
Galileo Gold showed great form during the winter narrowly beaten in the Winter Championship. We are looking forward to the spring with him.
The Cranbourne Cup is high on the agenda in October.
It’s Crunch Time with 4- wins and 3- 2nds from 8 starts; we will be looking for a good race over the spring with him.
Valrouz, missed her 3yo season, we are moving forward to this season. She is coming along well (fingers Crossed) her last start 2nd at Moonee Valley making it 3 placing in Melbourne from 4 starts, so it’s time she has a chance to get back on the track.
Cosentino & Neptune Express are coming along nicely and looking forward to the returning racing early September.
Queen Delight will be looking at the Apache Cat H’cap at Cranbourne.
The race she won last year on Cranbourne Cup Day.
.p2.
The 2yo’s are going about their education nicely –
Reset/Gal Express Colt has been handling his work well. He has lovely flowing action and has good body strength, the way the Rests have been winning in Melbourne he looks a great chance so be quick there are still few
10 & 5 % shares
Commands/Freedal filly has return to work and is a cracking type, she has settled in well. The Command’s has been the leading sire by winners and 2nd behind Fastnet Rock leading sire by wins in 2011, so the odds are in her favour one share left.
Gods Own/ O’Marie filly is a lot like her mother in her actions and hopefully her ability as O’Marie was a city class, running some good races behind Miss Finland. She is a nice medium strong filly and we will give her this preparation and see if she can make it to the early races there are a few shares available.
O’Marie is due to foal next month to Reset
Hopefully with the better weather due to come we can have our early morning BBQ at track work and we will hope to see you there.
It will be good to have The General (Helen) back on deck after being side lined for 6 weeks it has been pretty full on plugging the gaps in her absence.
Looking forward to coming weeks and may your next runner is a winner.
